Has anyone seen the new houseguest interview videos. The more I listen the more I have a sneaking suspicion about the interviewers. One of them is Diane. The other, sounds a lot like, but may not be, Holly.

Diane, whose goodbye message to Holly was 'good riddance'. Seriously. If you've never seen Season 5 I don't think you understand how amused I am by this possibility. (I was wrong. I suck.)

So we have had the cast leaked for like a week and a half now and this is the first time I have gotten around to saying anything. I fail at life. However I also am spoiled so if anyone wants to know who the first HOH is I have that answer (along with a bunch of other people but whatever).

*links go to meet the houseguest YT vids. Four are missing. Jessie and Michelle are in the same one. I can tell from this who CBS won't be rigging comps for.

Libra - She's my immediate favorite. And no I don't give two shits that she isn't actually a Libra. I get a vibe from her that she might be trouble though and I might regret being all gung-ho about her this early.

Jerry - He isn't going to win but I think America is going to love him on principle. He seems like a good guy and someone I could possibly root for. In theory.

Brian - He rubs me the wrong way from first impressions, even though he didn't necessarily say anything annoying or offensive. Possible one to watch.

Memphis - I shouldn't like him. I kind of do. I also kind of think he's slightly gay so that might be a contributing factor. Now watch him be a total asshole, right?

Jessie - I hate bodybuilders. With a passion not known to man. So this guy is just not going to do it for me. Also, he'll probably start the game off early because you know big and buff lends itself to 'Four Horseman/Mrs. Robinson syndrome. We know how those ended.

Michelle - I think she might be insane. Not in a good way. And for some reason she reminds me of Amber. I don't have high hopes for this one.

Angie - This one should be a handful. I mean she was wearing a crown in one of those promos. That's not good. She'll also probably come out strong, hopefully not in any manner similiar to Kail/Jen(BB9)/Allison(circa BB7).

April - Blondes named April have a warning label that says 'run away' for me. I'm still not over BB6. She is also insane. Maybe in a good way, not sure yet. The OCD thing will be fun for livefeeds I predict.

Steven - I love him. I knew I would. Also, his video makes me sad.

Dan - Is, and will always be, on my shitlist. I want him evicted first chance.

Ollie - The virginity comment? Interesting, very interesting. But he bashed the gays and that makes me want him to go bye-bye very soon.

Renny - She's going to piss people off, either the houseguests or me or both. Clearly thinks she's younger than she is which normally I wouldn't mind but she does so in an irritating way.

Keesha - She works at Hooters. Didn't Danielle work at Hooters? This gives me pause. She also said something about using sex to get her farther in the game which makes me think of Chelsia. Again with the pausing. But she isn't annoying (yet) so that's a plus.

I'd like it to be Sunday now, y/y.

Now they are saying they're doing BB11 in winter 2009. Fan-fuckin-tabulous.

Do I really need to list the reasons this is bad? Besides me not having nearly enough time with the livefeeds during the school year?

On the plus side, this speeds up All-Stars 2, thus giving me a chance to see Eric or Dick or Jen or ANYONE from BB8 (except Kail, Mike, or Carol because *snores*) interact with these nutjobs. And that would be entertainment (do you hear me CBS, do you?)

I know that a lot of people are already speculating about this but I have to add my two cents for anyone who cares.

Did anyone notice that "Happy Together" is in ALL the promos? And that they keep going on a 'things that belong together' theme?

Proof:

My point being that there is one of three reasons for this:

1) They realize the winter edition was THAT bad and thus they are allaying our fears that there will ever be one again. Hence Big Brother and Summer belong together in their book. To that I say Hallejulah.
2) They are doing rivals/long-lost-whatever AGAIN. Because like that hasn't been done since Season 4. And it isn't getting old at all.
3) The far-fetched dream: they are bringing back people from other seasons, either like a really, really early All-Stars, or ala Survivor: Fans v. Favorites.

So, does anyone have thoughts? Am I insane?

27 Days Until BB10

And she's back...

Honestly, winter edition of Big Brother, BB9, The Season of T&A, whatever you want to call it, I'm just glad it's over. It made me not want to blog, hence why for the majority of this season the blog went unmanned. School was also a factor.

But not this time. I'm back and ready for action.

A few things we know about BB10:

- Allison Grodner calls them the wildest cast yet
- We will have a LIVE EVICTION AUDIENCE. Because we know that will end so well. Can you imagine a live eviction audience for oh let's say Natalie. That would've been good.
- There will be 13 houseguests. It premieres on July 13th. Am I sensing a pattern?
- There were Rumors (the word is capitalized for a reason) that they were casting a gay cowboy. Which I thought they already accomplished with Josh, but, you know, these people like to do it right.

You will note that they are using BB7-BB9 to advertise. Even they recognize that BB9 sucked ass, since they are trying to draw us in with the likes of Janelle, Will, Dustin, Eric, and the Donatos. Yes, I know Adam, Josh, James and Natalie are in there. I'm trying to pretend they weren't. Not the point. If they had enough material they wouldn't need the earlier seasons.

Okay, guys, WTF with Sheila's obsession with Alex? Because I mean I get it, he's pretty to look at and he has a cute accent and he was a good guy (and so was Kaysar and he walked out the fucking door just as quickly, just three times, so that's what happens to good guys in the show) but he's also a) 22 years younger than her, b) presumably dating Danielle Donato, and c) not interested.

It's been no secret that she likes him, she only brings him up at least twice a week, but then came Wednesday's veto comp and the "I'm doing this for Alex" comment. And then last night, during her birthday party, there was this:

I know I haven't done much with this site as of late...that's about to change. Spoilers below, my own opinions as well. Discussion is open, I know a lot of you will disagree.

They say first impressions are important but I'd have to say the same for last impressions.

On Wednesday we watched Chelsia walk out the door. I think most of my respect for her went with her.

Her comments to Adam about getting a backbone and then telling Sheila that she had been "rode hard and put away wet", while I may personally agree with the latter, served very little purpose. These are things she had said earlier in the week, she just wanted the live show viewers to hear it. Some people have referred to it as keeping her dignity, I call it acting like a sore loser.

Think back to last year. What do you remember about Dustin? For me, and many others, it's the jaw-drop as he found out that he had been evicted. What about Mike? He handed out flowers to the girls before he left, leaving the other houseguests wondering if he thought he was on "The Bachelor". I don't think these people would've really said much about Mike had he not done that. I don't think we would've either.

Go back even farther, to All Stars. We all remember Kaysar. It isn't because he was a good game player. It's because he was evicted THREE times. Twice on, or within a week, of his birthday. A lot of us remember Julie Chen after his final eviction, half heartedly wishing him a happy birthday after telling him that James had fucked over their alliance and joined forces with Chilltown. Then there was Howie who threw a little shit-fit at the door because he didn't want to leave, and he felt he'd been wronged. He threw Mike Boogie's hat across the room and got in his face, causing James, a former bodyguard, to have to step in between them. In the words of Mike Boogie he was "a real class act".

This brings me to my point: how you leave is how we remember you. Whether it's crying (Amanda, Jen) or irritated with the hand you were dealt (Parker). Whether it's with grace and integrity (Eric) or with your signature phrase printed right across your chest (Jessica).

So, Chelsia, the one who left with "dignity" and "went out with a bang", I'll remember you not as the fun, competitive player you were for the 7 weeks you were in the house, but as the girl who decided to make a tacky spectacle of herself because she wasn't getting what she wanted.

It sucks how much these people let you down.

Josh, who many people have said is taking a page from Dick's book, appears to also be taking one from Jen's.

Up against Sharon, whom he earlier called Mother Teresa because people liked her so much and therefore wouldn't vote her out, he's between a rock and a hard place. So, in an effort to save himself, he's been contemplating breaking food restriction all week.

Here's how this works, in theory: According to the rule book, if you break slop restriction you automatically get nominated the next week if you are already on the block and aren't evicted that same week. So, again in theory, if you break food restriction you could use your penalty nom to convince other houseguests to save you for another week, not only because you would automatically be nominated but also because you couldn't play in HOH or POV that week. Within that week you could try and convince people to save you, thus giving you what people in that house have so little of: time.

Here's what happened last year: Allison Grodner, the one who makes new rules up to follow her every whim, decided to give Jen a penalty vote instead. She couldn't make the argument she hoped to because she didn't have the leverage. And so that is why Jen went out on a 6-0 vote, when only five people were voting.

In all likelihood if Josh does this it'll bring about the same result as Jen had. Granted, Josh lost food privileges in a food comp whereas Jen lost hers in a veto comp, but the point is the same. The fact that he's been flirting with eviction since he put Allison's key up his ass means they'll probably show him no mercy.

It also means that I watched Josh crying over pizza and crossed my fingers that he didn't do anything stupid.

I love Josh, a lot, I just don't think he has a very long shelf life.

As it stands now:

Neil is gone. We still don't know why. On Thursday producers stated that they weren't at liberty to discuss it. Hence Josh and Sharon are paired up.

Ryan/Allison and Parker/Jen are nommed in an attempt to get rid of one half of the actual couple.

Matt/Natalie have POV. It's doubtful that they will use it.

In all likelihood Parker/Jen are out of the house this Wednesday. And I am much happier to see her leave than him.

As far as couples go, I'm sure you all have heard about the Matt/Natalie sex that they thought we couldn't see. Or when Jen/Ryan did it in the bathroom...and she had to ask if it was in.

Such wonderfully restrained people.

There's TONS of news coming out but so far I'm quiet focused on some other, more important, news coming out of the house.

Last night the houseguests moved in and the first BB9 HOH was crowned.

Here's what we know so far:

- We have no idea who the HOH was.
- Allison and Sheila formed a quick bond
- Sharon found out her ex-boyfriend is in with her (we believe it is Jacob, so much for people who don't know each other)
- Josh and Neil went to the same university -- they may also know each other
- Jen, Amanda, and Sharon also bonded and are now targeting one of the other girls
- One of the couples (S and A are the initials) are in serious danger of getting evicted first. They hate each other and all they do is complain about it.

All of that was posted by this poster and since they were right last year, they are to be believed this year as well.

I'll be keeping you updated as info comes in.

Also, BB has a spa room, and in the video survey they did of the room the first thing you see? Condoms. Seriously. Smut season much?

No one knows what she'll be doing, though it's been widely speculated that she will be doing a special on past showmances. For all the skeptics who, yesterday, thought I was kidding about the Jen/Nick thing...I wasn't.

A poster over at realitybbq had this to say:

“OMG, I was just at a CPK in Tarzana and who was there? None other then Nick and Jen from BB8 sitting right across from me. They were holding hands and even kissed on there way out. All I can say is OMG and I have never been on any of these sites, I don’t even know how to post, where to post, I just thought he was dating Daniele from watching the show and I just totally freaked out. Apparently auditions for BB9 ARE still going on. This is in-line with those Star Search postings, and the rumor that Jen, Zach, and Nick were all found very close to sequester.

Casting Rumors, and Auditions

Could there be a tranny on BB9? Rumors have come out to this effect:

Alright, so I went to the open call in Atlanta and while I did not get a call back, I can share a tidbit that makes me think this secret thing may have some validity.

In my group of 5, there was a girl, a blonde model from Atlanta and she mentioned something like "I am dating 2 guys - one knows and the other doesn't know" after she said this one of the casting people stopped her and said "don't tell the rest of what the other guy doesn't know in front of everyone else". After we were all dismissed, she was asked too stay behind.

There was a gay guy in my group who I walked out with and I wondered aloud what was up with her and what was the big secret. The gay guy told me she was a tranny - a friend of his knew her and he told her to come to the open call.

She mentioned she had never seen the show, knew nothing about it all, and just because of her "secret" I am 99% positive she got a call back and would not be surprised to see her on the show. She was really pretty but I HATE HATE HATE that another know nothing about the game dumb bitch may be getting on because she has some sort of overexaggerated "secret". Even though I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to blow her spot up - I won't mention her name - I can PM it to Aero or SoA and when we know they are sequestered I will post it. Again, she may not be on - but they made a big deal of her not spilling her "secret" in front of the rest of us and y'all KNOW a beautiful blonde tranny from the South who grew up on a farm and knows nothing about BB is the kind of shit these dumb casting idiots drool over.

They did ask all of us if we had something interesting to tell them about ourselves "that no one knows about." So, having been through the casting and hearing other people's stories - I am inclined to believe there is something to this. (source)

Showtime has picked up Big Brother After Dark, for the second year in a row, issuing this press release:

LOS ANGELES, CA – (January 8, 2008) – CBS and Showtime will once again partner to bring viewers Big Brother: After Dark, an exclusive, live televised look inside the BIG BROTHER house after the network prime-time cameras have been turned off. Big Brother: After Dark will feature a live television feed from the "Big Brother" house for three hours (12:00–3:00 AM, ET/PT), seven days a week, on the cable network's SHO2 multiplex channel beginning Tuesday, February 12th at 12:00 AM ET/PT. The announcement was made today by Robert Greenblatt, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc.

“Big Brother: After Dark was a big success for us at bringing an audience to very late night time periods on SHO2. This began as an experiment with our friends at Endemol and CBS, and I'm happy that it worked so well for all of us,” said Greenblatt. “I'm amazed at how much curiosity there is about what goes on in the Big Brother house after the lights are out, but what better place to present that than on SHOWTIME where we have a lot of on-air real estate in the wee hours of the morning.”

The first winter edition of BIG BROTHER will premiere on CBS Tuesday, February 12th and air every Tuesday at 9:00 PM ET/PT, Wednesday at 8:00 PM ET/PT and Sunday at 8:00 PM ET/PT. The series follows the relationships and conflicts of players who live together in a house outfitted with dozens of cameras and microphones recording their every move 24 hours a day. One by one, the houseguests will vote each other out of the house. At the end of three months, the last remaining houseguest will receive the grand prize.

Hosts of the radio show "On Your Mind" Schree & Baby have announced that they are interviewing Jameka Cameron on Thursday January 3, 2008. Now this isn't just a random interview, these two have interviewed Jessica and Eric (three times!), Dustin, Jen, Zach, and Nick. They are also taking part in the Big Brother cruise March 2008.

Dick and Danielle Donato were recently featured on Reality Remix, in a segment reportedly filmed a few weeks ago. Among other things Danielle finally put rumors to rest and confirmed her breakup with fellow houseguest Nick Starcevic.

In international BB news, I figured I should touch on the deaths of three contestants in the Serbian version of Big Brother who were killed in a car crash on Friday, Dec. 28.

"Three former members of the ongoing Serbian Big Brother show have been killed in a car crash, local media reported Saturday. Citing eyewitnesses and police sources, it was reported that Stevan Zecevic, 23, Zorica Lazic, 24, and Elmir Kuduzovic, 25, who were voted out of the Big Brother home ahead of the finale on New Year's Eve, were killed when their car crashed into a river late Friday night." So, that said, not that this is a reliable source BUT it is a media outlet, which is better than my-brother's-best-friend's-sister-who-works-for-CBS-says...you get my drift.

18. Big Brother (CBS, Feb. 12): Because the writers' strike rages on, the Eye net has prepared a winter edition of this summer reality staple. Rumor has it that this ninth edition may run just six weeks, instead of the usual three months. Casting is currently under way! (source)

Rumor has it that the semi-infamous 15th houseguest, Samantha, may be one of this year's cast. She was first featured here, as part of a meet the cast video (full version can be found here). Seems last year she was an alternate -- to what we're not sure. Based on a comment made by Eric, she may have been Amber's replacement (seems she was cut a few days prior to going into the house, and then reinstated later). Others speculate that she may have been Eric himself's replacement -- the other AP.

Big Brother 9 Kicks off With A Premiere Party
February 12, 2008

The list of past Big Brother alumni attending this very special event is long and reported to be growing on a daily basis. At this time the confirmed are, James Rhine, Kail Harbick, Jen Johnson, Nick Starcevic, Howie Gordon, Kaysar Ridha, Rachel Plencner, and Jennifer Vasquez.

You will want to pay special attention to this event because I believe it to be the first event of this kind ever planned, organized and put on by a past Big Brother house guest. Usually these events are planned by Big Brother or one of the supporting Big Brother web sites. With James and Kail doing being the hosts, this event will probably rise above anything we have seen in the past. It is going to be a good one!

There will be a meet and greet from 1 pm to 4 PM on Tuesday, February 12 followed by a dinner with the Big Brother Celebrities. After dinner everyone will gather to watch the premiere of Big Brother 9 and at the conclusion of the show there will be a cocktail party.

What strikes me as odd is all of the above have been absolute media whores (no offense, I love a few of them) since they got out except for Rachel and Jennifer (who seems a little out of place since the rest of that alliance is not attending).
